Just about everything is going right for the Kansas City Royals these days. [url=http://www.wholesalenfljerseyssupplycheap.com/] Antworten

Just about everything is going right for the Kansas City Royals these days. NFL Jerseys Supply . Theyve won 24 of their last 31 games to take over first place in the AL Central. Even the schedule seems to be breaking their way. The Royals played their last nine games against teams currently in last place — and theyll play 10 of their final 33 against last-place Minnesota, Texas and Boston. Manager Ned Yost, however, is taking nothing for granted. "These are the games that according to the standings and this and that, these are games youre supposed to come in and win — and thats not always the case," Yost said. "You dont understand the difficulty of coming in and playing a major league game. Its hard to win a major league game." The team chasing the Royals in the division can certainly vouch for that. Second-place Detroit had to fight back over the weekend just to salvage a four-game split against the Twins. Minnesota scored 32 runs in the first two games of that series. According to STATS, the Royals have the easiest schedule in the American League the rest of the way, playing opponents with an aggregate winning percentage of .479. But how significant is that? The Tigers will face teams with a winning percentage of .496, so theyll have a chance to go on a run themselves if they play well enough. In baseball, there are no gimmes on the schedule — and thats even more true this year, when theres a decent chance nobody will lose 100 games. Texas, which has baseballs worst record, is on pace for 99 defeats. The Twins may be in last place, but theyre on pace for 72 wins and just gave Detroits pitching fits. And on the flip side, baseball hasnt had a 100-win team since 2011, and nobody is on pace for it this year either. The parity in the game right now is one reason nobodys schedule will be that easy or that hard down the stretch. For what its worth, the toughest remaining schedule belongs to Texas — the Rangers cant play against themselves, after all. Their opponents have a .537 winning percentage. The NL West-leading Los Angeles Dodgers (.467) have the easiest road ahead, but the second-easiest schedule belongs to San Francisco, which trails the Dodgers by 4 1/2 games in the division. Here are five things to watch around the majors this week: HOLDING ON?: The Milwaukee Brewers are clinging to a 1 1/2-game lead in the NL Central, but they catch a bit of a break this week because second-place St. Louis will play a three-game series at third-place Pittsburgh. The Brewers will have a chance to gain ground on one or both of those teams. TATTERED TIGERS: Detroits starting rotation looked imperious when the Tigers traded for David Price, but injuries to Anibal Sanchez and Justin Verlander left the team in a surprisingly precarious position. Youngsters Robbie Ray and Buck Farmer failed to make it out of the second inning in their starts against the Twins. Verlander is back now, and theres an off day on the schedule Monday, but a doubleheader next weekend against the Chicago White Sox means the Tigers will still have to piece things together. LAST STAND?: Can the New York Yankees reach the post-season in Derek Jeters final season? It looked like a longshot, but New York has won four straight to pull within six games of first-place Baltimore in the AL East, and the Yankees are only 3 1/2 games behind Seattle for the second wild card. This week — with a game at Kansas City followed by three at Detroit and three at Toronto — should be telling. WILD WEST: The Los Angeles Angels and Oakland Athletics have the top two records in baseball, and theres plenty of incentive to win the AL West and avoid the one-game playoff between the leagues wild cards. Los Angeles leads by a game after a victory over the As on Sunday night, and the Angels will host a four-game series between the teams that starts Thursday. CITY OR STATE?: The Washington Nationals have won 12 of 13 to open an eight-game lead over Atlanta in the NL East. The Nationals will play an interesting interleague series at Seattle starting Friday, but it looks as though Washington will avoid facing Felix Hernandez. STAT OF THE WEEK Atlanta closer Craig Kimbrel now has a 1.46 ERA for his career, easily the lowest in baseball history for a pitcher with at least 275 innings. Wholesale NFL Jerseys Authentic .com) - Nicolas Colsaerts fired an 11-under 60 on Thursday and grabbed a 3-stroke lead with the opening round of the Portugal Masters suspended by rain. Solomon Elimimian did not make the trip with the team after suffering what appeared to be a right leg injury in the teams regular season finale against the Calgary Stampeders. http://www.wholesalenfljerseyssupplycheap.com/ . The Toronto Blue Jays star won his second consecutive Hank Aaron Award as the most outstanding offensive performer in the AL on Monday after votes by fans and a panel of Hall of Famers were tallied.NEW ORLEANS - With 7-footer Omer Asik joining 6-10 All-Star Anthony Davis, the New Orleans Pelicans figured they would have a formidable frontcourt this season. It sure looked pretty good on opening night.Davis and Asik combined for 40 points, 34 rebounds and 14 blocks, and New Orleans beat the Orlando Magic 101-84 on Tuesday. We just know that were a load in that paint — him with his great body and me able to move around, just try to follow the ball and get rebounds, said Davis, who scored 26 points, grabbed 17 rebounds and tied a career high with nine blocks. Its a good combination.Tobias Harris scored 25 points and Nikola Vucevic added 15 points and 23 rebounds for the Magic, who never led in the second half.Asik, acquired from Houston in an off-season trade, finished with 14 points, 17 rebounds and five blocks, which also matched a career best.Davis and Asik combined for 16 offensive rebounds, and the Pelicans finished with 32 second-chance points. They cover up a lot of mistakes that you tend to make just by being aggressive, Pelicans coach Monty Williams said.Indeed, the Pelicans shot only 40.6 per cent (41 of 101) and missed 16 free throws, but still won by 17, something Magic coach Jacque Vaughn said was tough to fathom.Give them a lot of credit for their aggressiveness and physicality that they played with, their second-chance points and getting to the board, Vaughn added. It stares you in the face. That was the difference. That, and Pelicans forward Ryan Anderson, who is coming back from surgery on a herniated disk that cost him more than half of last season. He scored 22 points, including 12 points in a span of 1:39 that helped the Pelicans surge to a 14-point lead at the end of the third quarter. It was good for us and good for Ryan, Williams said. It was almost like a statement for him that he was back because he has the ability to change a game with his shooting. The Pelicans lead got as large as 23 when Asiks putback made it 97-74 with 2:36 left.Davis could have had his first triple-double and set a franchise single-game high for blocks if he had gotten one more, but Williams suubbed Davis out — to a standing ovation — with 2:29 left. Cheap Nike NFL Jerseys. f he gets (10 blocks) naturally, great, but thats not our focus and thats not his focus, Williams said. Im sure hell take a win over a triple-double any time.Orlando led by as many as six points in the first quarter on Vucevics layup, but the Pelicans controlled the second quarter and took a 48-41 lead on Davis putback dunk just seconds before halftime.TIP-INSMagic: First-round pick Elfrid Payton started in his first NBA game in his hometown. Payton is from suburban New Orleans and played his college ball at Louisiana-Lafayette. He had four points, seven assists and five rebounds. It was good being able to play in front of my family and friends, Payton said. At times we played well. We have to pick it up on defence and have to get to the boards.Pelicans: Foul shooting plagued the Pelicans in the first half. They missed 11 of their first 14 free throws and finished 15 of 31. ... Guard Jrue Holiday played the fourth quarter with stitches and a bandage above his right eye after taking an elbow from Payton.ANDERSONS SPURT:Anderson was animated during his pivotal scoring spurt late in the third quarter. He had missed nine of his first 13 shots before converting a three-point play. After Davis hit a 20-footer, Anderson buried three straight 3-pointers, yelling, Thats what Im talking about, after the second. His third gave New Orleans an 11-0 run to close the quarter and sent the crowd into a frenzy. Those are moments that are just great moments that Ill always remember, Anderson said. Those are moments that are big moments in the game.EVANS EXPERIMENTTyreke Evans, who is 6-foot-6, has played guard for most of his first five NBA seasons, including last season, his first in New Orleans. But Williams wanted Evans in the starting lineup this season with guards Holiday and Eric Gordon, so Evans has become an undersized small forward. He had 12 points, nine rebounds and six assists.UP NEXTOrlando hosts the Washington Wizards in its regular-season home opener Thursday night.New Orleans hosts Dallas on Saturday night. ' ' '
