The Boston Bruins have hired Joe Sacco as assistant coach. A Massachusetts native, Sacco spent the 2013-14 season as an assistant Coach for the Buffalo Sabres. Prior to that, he served as Colorado Avalanche head coach from 2009-13. There he compiled a 130-134-40 record and was named a finalists for the Jack Adams Award in 2010. In his playing career, Sacco played 738 NHL games with five the Toronto Maple Leafs, Anaheim Mighty Ducks, New York Islanders, Washington Capitals, and Philadelphia Flyers.
